For a Diwali full of enlightenment for underprivileged children and the differently abled, Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan is again back with its 9th run of the annual project 'Roshni'. Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan is a non-profit organization which aims to improve lives through humanitarian acts. Roshni is also such an effort which is being organized this time under the Guidance of Rtr. Surbhi Sethi.

The project Roshni spreads the idea of a 'Green and Swadeshi Diwali', thereby uplifting the cause of the Indian potters, who are currently bearing the brunt of the Chinese products in the market. Roshni is an annual flagship event, wherein we get diyas made by local potters. Furthermore, visits to slum areas, children homes, and old age homes are organised to get the diyas painted and are then sold with a purpose to raise funds for the needful.
To celebrate Diwali in a unique fashion and fill the air with zeal and happiness, a DJ event was organized on 21st October 2022 in Sector 17, Plaza Area from 4:00 pm onwards. The event saw an overwhelming crowd waiting to be submerged in the waves of music and dance.
The event began with the making of Rangoli and thereafter the lightning of Diya by the esteemed dignitaries and the board of directors symbolising a pure beginning for all.
The centre of attraction were also the live pottery sessions, diya exhibition, and the beautiful ideas shared by the eloquence team of the club. The evening rejoiced in its full colours with the delightful performances by the Musicians and the poets. The DJ , Band, Theatre and happy feet were also the star attraction.
The event was successfully conducted with the guidance of the President Rtr. Smriti Agnihotri and General secretary Rtr. Tanmay Sethi along with the supervision of the event chairpersons Rtr. Hemank Bhardwaj and Rtr. Suman Mohan, the event heads Rtr. Rehmatdip kaur, Rtr. Kashish Seth, Rtr Diksha Dhawan, Rtr. Shivangi Bhardwaj, Rtr. Raghav Kumar, Rtr. Jasmeen Kaur, Rtr. Karandeep Singh, Rtr. Anushka Sharma, Rtr. Kabir Chauhan, Rtr Aakriti Badhwar, Rtr. Akshit Raj, Rtr.RajSimar Singh, Rtr. Anshika, Rtr.Yuvraj Bakshi, Rtr. Prince conducted this amazing event.
