MATA KI CHOWKI” ANNUAL RELIGIOUS FUNCTION ACCOMPLISHED


Chandigarh, 31.12.19- In India, Religious ideologies are accepted by the majority of Indians and in this way Indians definitely have faith in God in different ways. In this context, one” MATA JI KA DEVOTEE”.Sh.AshwaniKukreja, founder of “KUKREJA RELIGIOUS FOUNDATION” is an individual in Chandigarh Town, who initiates every year to organize “MATA KI CHOWKI “ a pious & religious programme" on the last day of each year i.e. 31st of December, when although majority of the Chandigarhians enjoy this last day of the year by visiting/participating either in Dancing or Musical Programmes in some hotel or resort.

This year too on 31st evening 2019 (TUESDAY), Sh. AshwaniKukreja had organized “MATA KI CHOWKI” programme in a big way in the ground in Sector 37B opposite his residence 1323, where 1000 families consisting of his relatives, friends and well-wishers participated, where these devotees performed "ARADHNA FOR MAHA MAI SHERAN WALI IN JYOTI PARCHAND" and sought her blessings for them and for their family members. 
In this unique religious programme, Renowned Singer Pankaj Dhawan, came from Delhi for the first time and Raman Dewan a singer from religious channel "Divya" sung Bhajans and impacted the devotee participants with their melodious voices. On this eve different religious Jhankis were also exhibited by noted artists of the Region.
At the end of the programme, "MAA KA BRAHM BHOJ" , tasty dinner was served to participant devotees which was relished & enjoyed by devotees as Prashad.

ICCPL, India’s leading Public Relations Agency wins the coveted WASME Excellency Award 2019


New Delhi- World Association For Small And Medium Enterprises (WASME) recently organised its 23rd International Conference on SMES (ICSME) where the association awarded SMES who have achieved great feats in their respective sectors. Nishant Bansal brings laurels to tricity by winning Mr Olympia title

                                            
Nishant Bansal (26) has once more made the tricity proud by winning the Mr Olympia Title in the IFBB Professional League Competition held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
He is also Men’s Physique Overall Pro Card and Men Body Building Classic Winner. There were over 500 athletes from 42 countries in Physique 21 Pro Cards.
Nishant has been 7 times Mr Chandigarh, 5 times Mr Punjab, one time Mr India and Mr Asia title winner. He has also won the Boss Classic. 
Nishant said that he had qualified the Vietnam IFBB Pro earlier and managed to get the silver medal. Then he started preparation for the Mr Olympia India won the overall and pro card in his category. “I will work harder to bring medals for my country. I have already done a lot of practice. I want to thank my coach, Sham Singh Shera, who himself has been two times Mr World Champion and also Mr Atinderjeet Singh Warrior for his ultimate medical support..”

He is very particular about his diet regime. He gets up at 7 am and after having the meals, he does cardio exercise between 8 am - 9 am and muscle training between 9 am-12 pm. After the workout, he takes lunch.
Between 1 pm to 4 pm he takes rest. After having meals at 5 pm, he again goes to gym for morning like exercise. His dinner time is 9 pm and at 10 pm he goes for sleep. His daily diet includes 20 eggs, 1 kg chicken, 500 gram fish, 500 gram mutton, fruits, green salad, protein shakes.

Construction kicks starts at Motia Guildford Square with Bhoomi Pujan

Live concert held at Hop Highway Club by singer Akhil Pasreja


A live concert of actor, singer and song writer, ‘Luka Chuppi’ fame Akhil Pasreja was held here on Saturday night under the aegis of Hop Highway Club, located at the Global Business Park, Zirakpur. He performed along with artist Tamanna Sodhi, who is a Punjabi actress and model.   
Mr Amit Aggarwal, Director, Hop Highway Club, Zirakpur, said, “We want to create the Chandigarh like atmosphere at our club. A lot of things have been planned for the new year and Christmas festivities. The offerings will include live concerts and other few things. GD Goenka Toddler House celebrates Annual Day Chandigarh Decmber 1, 2019:


The G D Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur celebrated its first Annual Day programme at the Bal Bhawan, Sector 23 here today. Chief guest of the progamme was Mr N K Sharma, MLA, Dera Bassi, while the guests of honour were: Mrs Neelam, Director – Academics, G D Goenka Toddler House and Mr Davesh Moudgill, former Mayor of Chandigarh.
The theme of the function was ‘Smile costs nothing’. The function started with the lamp lighting ceremony and felicitation of the chief guest and guests of honour. Chairman of the school, Mr Anikt Kumar welcomed everyone.
Ms Samridhi, Director of the Zirakpur branch, said, “It is a great occasion for the GD Goenka Toddler House family, when we are celebrating our first foundation day. I am confident of more such celebrations in the days to come.”

Gurpreet continues his dominance at Tata Motors Senior National Wrestling Championships, claims fourth title


Jalandhar, December 1: Asian Championships silver medallists Gurpreet Singh and Sunil Kumar lived up to their reputation as both clinched gold medals on the final day of the Tata Motors Senior National Wrestling Championships in Jalandhar on Sunday.

This was Gurpreet’s fourth Senior National title. The Punjab grappler defeated two-time World Junior Championships medallist Sajan Bhanwal, who was representing the Railways, by 3-1. Gurpreet continued his dominance over his younger rival and registered fourth win in the five matches played between them so far.



Sunil also managed an easy win over Punjab's Prabhpal Singh. The Railway's grappler used all his energy and experience to crush the Punjab wrestler by 5-1.



In the 55kg category, Karnatka’s Arjun, representing Services, defeated Ajay by 9-0 to win gold. Enjoying the home support Punjab’s Harpreet Singh defeated Rajbir Chhikara of Railways with a 4-1 scoreline. The Asian Games silver medallist used his experience to dislodge his opponent's confidence and won the title in the 82 kg category. Hardeep Singh, who was the first greco-roman wrestler to qualify for the Olympics, received a walkover against Ravi Rathi of Railways in 97 Kg.



Railways concluded day at the top spot with 210 points while Services are placed at second (170 points) followed by Jharkhand at third (109 points).



Sakshi, Ravinder to lead Indian contingent at South Asian Games

Meanwhile, the Indian contingent for the 2019 South Asian Games (SAG) was declared by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) as the gold medallists at the Tata Motors Senior Wrestling National Championships were inducted in the squad. The 7-member men’s and women’s contingent will be led by Olympic medallist, Sakshi Malik and U-23 World Championship silver medallist, Ravinder at the Championship which is starting from December 6-9 in Nepal. “The players have been chosen after an extremely competitive competition from the National platform and I am confident that the players will maintain the supremacy and defend their 2016 titles in both the men and women’s category at the South Asian Games,” said Brij Bhushan Saran Singh, the WFI



‘Most ailments can be prevented through healthy life style’


Chandigarh, December 1, 2019: The Society for the Promotion of Ethical and Affordable Health Care (SPEAK) organized a seminar at Chandigarh Press Club, Sector 27 here under the series ‘universal health literacy for prevention of disease’.
The seminar, ‘Good Nutrition or Poor Health: Choice is Yours’ saw two interactive sessions between doctors and other experts.
Dr. R. Kumar President SPEAK India while speaking on the occasion, said, “The focus of this seminar is on the importance of good nutrition to achieve the goal of healthy India, with underlying message that most ailments can be prevented through healthy lifestyle and clean environment.”
Mr. Vikas Garg IAS, posted as RCS with Punjab Government lauded the efforts of doctors to reach the community to impart preventive health tips rather than waiting for them to fall sick and come for treatment as patients. Ajit Singh Chatha former chief Secretary Punjab and Dr. S.K. Sharma former Director PGI chaired the sessions.
Speaking in the first session Dr. Ashok Sharma from Chandigarh Cornea Centre enumerated the ill effects of poor nutrition on the eyes, especially the occurrence of corneal ulcers due Vitamin A and protein deficiency.  Dr. J.S. Thakur from PGI spoke on essentials of nutrition and genesis of malnutrition.
Dr. Atul Sachdev noted physician and former Director Principal of GMCH 32 outlined the Dance of Diseases and death due to malnutrition. He shared startling figures as per which 30 percent of women in Punjab and 22 percent men are obese. Quoting a study, he said 70 percent of Delhi population is obese, adding that 60 percent of cancers happen to obese people. He added 30 percent of world population is overweight or obese while by 2030 80 percent of people in US will be obese or overweight.
Dr. S.K. Sharma former Director PGI, while speaking on the occasion said while India is one of the emerging economies but we do not know what we are eating because of heavy contamination. Stringent measures need to be taken so that we get proper food, he said, adding government should act and bring awareness among people.
Dr. Dilpreet Sandhu a senior gynecologist, also from local medical college stressed on the prevention of diseases of women and children due to malnutrition. Dr. Preethi Pradhan, Dean Medical Sciences Chitkara university brought the importance of good governance in providing good nutrition to the community and thus saving patients from dying and hospitals from undue load of patients.
Second session saw an array of experts from different fields of life, who supplemented the principal speakers on the importance of nutrition. Dr. Sukant Gupta spoke on laws governing nutrition and role of FSSAI on their implementation. Mrs. Kamal Malhi and Dr. Manu Jatana commented on how nutrition is essential to wellness. Dr. Hemraj cautioned how bacteria invades the food chain, Dr. Vinod Chaudhry on the relation of hunger and poverty, Prof Arundeep Ahluwalia on how food security is closely related to environment, Dr. Meenakshi Uppal on the aspects of happiness and food
