SJOBA TSD Rally 2026 concludes; Shabbir Hussain Saifee & Prakash Muthusamy clinch Pro 4-Wheeler title

Vanishree Pathak & Rajni Chandra win Ladies category; Mahesh Iyer & Lohith JM top the Bike category Chandigarh, October 5, 2026: The SJOBA TSD Rally 2026, organised by the St. John’s Old Boys Association (SJOBA), concluded with the prize distribution ceremony held at the Chandigarh Golf Association, with Shabbir Hussain Saifee and Prakash Muthusamy emerging winners in the Pro 4-Wheeler category. The rally witnessed participation from 35 cars and 15 motorcycles, with competitors from across India taking on challenging tracks across Punjab. TSD stands for Time-Speed-Distance, a format in which competitors are required to maintain prescribed speeds and reach designated points at calculated times. Unlike a conventional speed race, success depends on precision, navigation, consistency and the ability to maintain the required average speed over the route. Women’s Health & Hygiene Camp Organised

Chandigarh, October 3: A special Women’s Health & Hygiene Camp (Mahila Swasthya Evam Swachhta Shivir) was organised at Indira Colony, Chandigarh, as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a month-long campaign launched on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The camp focused on bringing preventive healthcare, health awareness and essential hygiene support closer to women in the area. The camp was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh under the leadership of Shri Jatinder Pal Malhotra, State President, BJP Chandigarh. Nearly 50,000 contractual workers are the Administration’s backbone, says Tandon

Chandigarh, October 3, 2026: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanjay Tandon met Punjab Governor and UT Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, seeking timely payment of salaries to the contractual employees of the City Administration. Tandon said that the UT Administrator has promised to look into the matter on priority and would ensure that the contractual workers are paid their salaries by 7th of every month. "I apprised the UT Administrator of the letter issued from the office of Secretary, Personnel, Chandigarh, on March 17, 2021 wherein it is clearly mentioned that the salaries/wages of the contractual employees are disbursed by 7th of every month," said Tandon. “If an instruction already exists, there is no reason why it should not be implemented.
