Panchkula, August 2, 2026: To mark the beginning of the holy month of 'Saawan', the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust, reaffirmed its commitment to social service by organising a Community Kitchen ('Ann Bhandara') at Industrial Area, Phase I, Panchkula. The event marked the 226th Ann Bhandara organised by the Trust. Amitabh Rungta, Founder of the Trust and a well-known social worker, said, "The month of 'Saawan' is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is regarded as a sacred period for prayer, charity and acts of kindness, making community service and food distribution especially meaningful during this time."
