Chandigarh, October 04, 2022 (Tuesday), Sri Guru Harkrishan Model school, sector 38-D, Chandigarh presented the three days long “Festival of Music and Dance” on the occasion of Navratri and Dussehra. The celebration started by offering prayers to Goddess Navdurga and seeking blessings to protect everyone from evil. Students of classes III – V showcased their dance skills in folk dances like Dandiya and Garba with great fervor and zeal. Students of classes I & II rocked the stage on the beats of Garba and also depicted scenes of Ram Leela. The skit conveyed the message of victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.

The tiny tots of Little Hearts, Pre-Primary wing celebrated Navratri and Dussehra with great spiritual enthusiasm and fun. All the children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the burning of the effigy of Ravana.  Thus, the celebration not only enriched their learning but also made it memorable.

The Principal Mrs. Harpreet Kaur congratulated all the students and teachers. On the occasion, she told students about the importance of the Navratri celebration and what it means. She also told students about the ‘nine forms’ of the Goddess Durga and how the Dussehra celebration symbolizes victory over evil.
