Chandigarh, September 8, 2018: Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and London School of Trends (LST) celebrated the craftsmanship of emerging Indian student Designers at Vibrant India during New York Fashion Week on Saturday at the famed NYFW location pier 59. Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty Consul General of India at New York, along with other dignitaries, was present to support the young Indian designers.
Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) in collaboration with London School of Trends (LST) is the first fashion institute in the world to showcase their students’ collection at two major fashion capitals of the world New York and London for the 5th consecutive season.
On one hand young INIFD designers are showcasing their work at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai for last 21 consecutive seasons at the same time aspiring student designers from INIFD worked hard to showcase their talent in London & New York Fashion Week to take our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative 5F formula for Fashion 2 Foreign forward.
Today’s show was a perfect amalgamation of rich Indian textiles and techniques along with the internationally accepted cuts and designs. The show opened with an Indian Bride & Bridegroom clad in traditional Indian Wedding ensembles, walking the runway on Indian Folk Music, followed by the Models sashaying on the ramp displaying rich Indian cultural heritage blended with western aesthetics.
This Indian show at NYFW mesmerized the Fashion glitterati of New York thus fulfilling the long-cherished dream of our Honorable Prime Minister of taking Indian Fashion to Foreign.
