A ahealth check up camp was organized at CISF Unit Punjab & Haryana civil secretariat, Sector 01, Chandigarh on 16th March 2024 in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur ( A Unit of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur), wherein about 400 CISF Personnel and their families were medically examined. Inaugurating the Health Camp, Sh. Yogesh Prakash Singh, Senior Commandant , CISF Unit Punjab & Haryana civil secretariat in presence of Dr. M L Swarankar, (MD, Emeritus Chairperson , Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology), Dr. Naimish N Mehta and Mr. Sukanta Kumar Das, Chief operating officer, MGM Hospital, Jaipur thanked the team of doctors & Para- medics staff from Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur and emphasized on regular check-up and counseling during their follow up examination on also stressed upon the importance of maintaining healthy life style.
Special focus was laid on liver health screening,obesity, diabetes & dietary habits. During the camp, health talk was delivered by Dr. M L Swarankar, MD, Emeritus Chairperson, Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Dr. Naimish N Mehta and Dr. Karan kumar of MGMC&H, Jaipur. The facility to check random blood sugar, FBS, BMI, FIBROSCAN, BP Monitoring, ECG and Nutritional assessment by Dietician was made available for CISF personnel & their families. Liver screening test which costs to Rs. 4000/- carried out free of cost.
Sh. Yogesh Prakash Singh emphasized the paramount importance of health and well-being, stating, "Our troops and their families are the backbone of our unit, and their health is our top priority. By offering these vital health services, we aim to ensure they receive the necessary care and support."
