Chandigarh, March 29, 2022 The volunteers of United Sikhs organization are doing a great humanitarian service at the war torn Ukraine borders. They also evacuated the Sanchia (religious scriptures) and Gutke (sacred prayer tablets) from the Odessa Gurdwara Sahib in Ukraine. The holy scriptures are being respectfully brought into the UK, where they will be received by the Sangat and then taken to the National Sikh Museum in Derby, UK. This virtuous seva was critical as the residents of Odessa had been preparing to defend the city from an imminent attack after the siege of Mariupol nearby.
