Social Worker Amitabh Rungta; “On Dussehra all Indians should take a pledge of doing good for society, this will lead to the establishment of Ram Rajya.”

Panchkula, October 13: Ratnadevi Rungta and her two sons Sanjay Kumar Rungta and Amitabh Kumar Rungta, both well-known social workers, participated as chief guests at the 'Vishal Dussehra Mahotsav' in Panchkula's Shalimar Ground in Sec 5. The Dussehra Mahotsav was jointly organized by the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Charitable and Development Trust; Dussehra Committee, Panchkula and Adarsh Ramleela and Dramatic Club, Panchkula.

While speaking to media persons on the side-lines of the Dussehra function, Amitabh Rungta said, “Dussehra is a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of good over evil. My message to all Indians on Dussehra is to take a pledge this day to do good for society by conducting some or the other social service activity. When a social service is done by each Indian, evil will automatically get eliminated from society thereby establishing ‘Ram Rajya’ in Bharat.”

While Sanjay Kumar Rungta is Chairman & Founder of Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust; Amitabh Rungta is the Chairman & Founder of the Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation. Amitabh Rungta has been organising a weekly bhandara in Panchkula for the last many years apart from conducting a number of philanthropic initiatives regularly. It is noteworthy that Amitabh Rungta is also the Founder and Managing Trustee of Late Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust; Trustee of Rajasthan Parishad, Chandigarh; Kamdhenu Gaushala,Pinjore; Agrasen Charitable Diagnostic and Health Care Center, Panckula; Panchkula Bhawan, Salasar & many more.

Informing media about his social initiatives and future plans in the area of social service, Amitabh Rungta added, “Apart from organising weekly bhandara I am supporting underprivileged girl students whose parents cannot afford their education. Our Foundation has been helping with treatment of ‘diseased cows’ also. Wheelchairs, walkers and walking sticks for the specially-abled have also been provided. We have also extended financial help to needy girls in getting married in mass marriage ceremonies. These social activities will be further strengthened and also expanded in the future.”

Commenting on the family’s participation in the Dussehra event, Amitabh Rungta said “It is an immense honor for our family's members, who have been conducting a number of socially beneficial activities, to be invited by the organisers as the chief guests on this auspicious occasion.”

Meanwhile many cultural performances took place at the 'Vishal Dussehra Mahotsav' and the Ravan Effigy was also set afire by using a remote control system.
