Shemrock World School Zirakpur's four-day annual function 'Astitva' concluded with much fanfare.

Today, at the closing ceremony of the ceremony, Bhupinder Singh IRS, Deputy Income Tax Commissioner, Panchkula arrived as the chief guest and Amarjeet Singh Bajwa, Chairman of Shemrock Group, arrived as the special guest.

On the second day of the function, Paramjeet Singh Randhawa, brother of MLA Kuljeet Singh Randhawa, arrived as the chief guest.  On the second day, social workers Sonu Sethi and Dr. Sanjay Attri were honored by the school for their contribution to the welfare of the society.

In this function, more than 700 students of the school participated in various competitions for four days.  The first day of the festival attracted everyone's attention with captivating nature-themed performances including performances, lively dances, soulful prayers and a captivating orchestra.

School Principal Chetan Bansal said that Shemrock World School aims to inspire excellence in education, foster creativity and instill values ​​that will shape future leaders.  She said that the four-day annual function of the school concluded with great pomp and show.  She expressed happiness over the good performance of the children in the function and thanked those who made the function a success.

Accurate strategy necessary for JEE and NEET preparation

Chandigarh, 17 December 2023 - Country's well-known educationist, Physics teacher and Founder and CEO of Motion Education, Nitin Vijay aka NV Sir addressed a free motivational and career guidance seminar organized here today at the Exhibition Ground after the inauguration of Motion's Chandigarh Center on Sunday. While addressing the audience he said that in the last 17  years the organisation has prepared lakhs of students for JEE and NEET exam. 

Following the imagination, while addressing the press conference, he said that Motion is on a mission to provide quality education at affordable prices in the country.  He said that the very foundation of our institution Motion lies in the fact that every student here, regardless of the difference in their   financial backgrounds, each one is special to us.  We have worked on such a model in which quality education is being provided to all the students at very affordable prices. He informed that students were getting benefits of both class room and online coaching at the centres. He further informed that to help students improve their weak areas, the team at Motion has created Adaptive Conceptual Problem Sheet Machine-CPS. In this, we are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning to understand the weaker areas of the students and assist them by using technology, he added. 

Founder and CEO of Motion Education, Nitin Vijay said that right strategy is very important for success in national exams including  JEE, NEET etc.  Talking about Chandigarh Centre, he said that Mukul Goyal will be the director of the centre.  He said that the study material and syllabus is completed in Kota by experienced faculty members and the updated study material and technology support is given to the faculty at other centres. The procedure is followed to clear doubts and check competency through regular tests. The facilities, available in Kota, will now be available in Chandigarh too.

He further explained  that behind any success, not only coaching but the hardwork of the students and their parents also play a crucial role. Even an established system could yield better results only when students regularly attend the class, complete homework on time, do not allow backlogs, study daily, listen to their teachers and correct their shortcomings by giving regular tests.

Emphasising on parents' involvement in the child's success, he said that parents should talk to their child daily and keep an eye on his routine. Keep the child away from any problems or disputes at home, regularly participate in PTM to understand the child's progress.  Motivate children to take every test and help them identify and correct their mistakes.  If the marks in the test are low, encourage the child to do better and keep improving their results, also support them in accepting that whatever result comes, no need to dishearten and it will be accepted wholeheartedly. This assurance will give them courage. In this way, the weak subject is practiced again and again and the weakness is removed before the exam.  This has made the preparation for IIT and NEET easier and due to removal of weaknesses, the selection ratio of average children has been constantly increasing. 

He said that after working vigorously in North and Central India for NEET and JEE preparation, Motion Education is now all set to establish its strong offline presence in South as well.  Under this, Motion has set a target of opening 100 new centers in the next financial year.  Currently more than 50,000 students are associated with Motion. He said that with 65 centers in 15 states the institute has created a strong presence in the country.  Motion will add over 30 new centers in the first phase to expand its presence in South India.  With this, the institute hopes to reach out to 1.5 to 2 lakh students preparing for medical and engineering entrance exams across the country.

• Class XII: “Experimental Skills" is the only new addition, with no deletions from the existing syllabus.
• Class XI: “Physical World” has been removed, with no new topics included.

Chemistry:

• Class XII: "Principles Related to Practical Chemistry" is newly included, while "The Solid State," "Surface Chemistry," "General Principles & Processes of Isolation of Elements," "Polymers," and "Chemistry in Everyday Life" have been deleted.
• Class XI: No new topic has been added, but "States of Matter: Gases & Liquids," "Hydrogen," "The S-Block Elements," and "Environmental Chemistry" are no longer there in the syllabus.

Botany:

• Class XII: “Biodiversity and Conservation (Sacred Groves)" is a new addition, while chapters such as “Reproduction in Organisms”, “Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production”, and “Environmental Issues” have been excluded.
• Class XI: “Morphology of Flowering Plants” (Malvaceae, Cruciferae, Leguminosae, Compositae, Gramineae) is a new inclusion, whereas “Transport in Plants” and “Mineral Nutrition” have been removed.

Zoology:

• Class XII: No new topics but deletions include "Reproduction in Organisms" and "Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production - Animal Husbandry."
• Class XI: “Structural Organisation in Animals - Animal Morphology (Frog)” has been added, while “Digestion and Absorption” has been removed.

Punjab Plastic Waste Management Society (PPWMS) organized “Seminar on Solid Waste Management at Rishi Apartments, Zirakpur with support and participation of Municipal Corporation, SAS Nagar, Mohali and Zirakpur, Punjab”.

During the seminar all residents, waste collectors and helpers, house maids were given awareness on source segregation, stopping use of SUPs by Sh. Sukhwinder Singh Deol, Community Facilitator cum Programme Co-ordinator Swachh Bharat Mission District Mohali, SAS Nagar. Mrs Shivani, Brand Ambassador Swachh Bharat Mission Zirakpur provided awareness for Eco bricks. Sincere support and efforts of Society President Sh. Sunil Singhal and many active residents like Smt. Ranju Sharma, Smt. Aman Sangwan, Smt. Jyoti Singhal have made this event possible. 

Dr. Reena Chadha, General Manager, IPCA will provide awareness regarding the plastic waste issues, safety and hygiene of waste workers and provide them free safety kits. 

During the event plogging drive has been conducted along with the Residents of Rishi Apartments. Punjab Plastic Waste Management Society (PPWMS) organized “Awareness Workshop for rag-pickers / waste collectors on Plastic Waste Collection, Segregation and Sanitation” at Khanauri, Moonak Nagar Panchayat. 

The event was organized by Punjab Plastic Waste Management Society (PPWMS) and Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA), which is implementing agency of PPWMS. Dr. Reena Chadha delivered the workshop and engaged participants in various games and activities based on the subject along with Mr. Amandeep. More than 50 Waste collectors and officials of MC participated in the programme. 

All the officials of Khanauri, Moonak Nagar Panchayat namely Mr Sarabjit (Clerk)  Nagar Panchayat, Mr. Sandeep Singh (CF) Nagar Panchayat Khanauri, Mr.Krishan Singh, (Junior Assistant )  Nagar Panchayat Khanauri, Miss Manjeet Kaur (Clerk), Nagar Panchayat Khanauri and all  officials & sanitation workers participated and supported the event. Mr. Lovepreet (J.E.) from Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) also participated in the event to inform the participants regarding Mission LiFE and environment consciousness.

Her work has received massive appreciation and she has been awarded the Iron Lady Award 2023 and Sarojini Naidu International award (2022) for her significant contribution in various social activities during the past 17 years. She Is the first and the only differently-abled woman who went to Uttrakhand during the natural calamity in 2013 and was rewarded for her courageous efforts by the Vice President of India.

She also became the first candidate to file nomination for Lok Sabha polls in 2019 for Chandigarh Constituency. 

She is a reknowned philanthropist,TedX motivational speaker, International  MSME growth coach for startups and a singer too. Her vision is to contribute towards the nation and give back to the society through her services, experience and social work.

GD Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur celebrates 3rd Annual Function - Samay Chakra

Chandigarh November 26, 2023 The GD Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur, celebrated its 3rd Annual Function at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Sector-26 Chandigarh. The theme for this year’s function was ‘Samay Chakra’ that showcased the eternal cycle of time and the rich tapestry of history that it weaves. The tiny tots of School presented a colourful cultural programme which enthralled the gathering of distinguished audience of parents and students.

Giving details of the function, Mrs. Samrridhi, Director, GD Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur said, it is that time of the year when we come together to celebrate the vibrant spirit and talent of our students. The 3rd Annual Function of GDGTH Zirakpur, was filled with music, dance, drama, and more activities that brought out the creative side of the toddlers.

Col GS Bajwa (VRC, SC) was the chief guest for the annual day function. Following the lamp lighting, the function commenced with the Ganesh Vandana performance by the toddlers and culminated with the National Anthem. 

The students worked tirelessly for the captivating performances that left the audience spellbound. The annual day is an event to showcase the progress and potential of the students. The students of GD Goenka Toddler House, Zirakpur displayed their talents with various cultural events, dance and performances that captivated the audience. These performances were a testament to the resilience, creativity and potential of these children.

मैकमा एक्सपो में एमएसएमई ने किया सेमिनार आयोजितएमएसएमई की विभिन्न योजनाओं को किया साझा

चंडीगढ़, 25 नवंबर 2023: मैकमा एक्सपो के तीसरे दिन शनिवार को बड़ी संख्या में लोग एक्सपो देखने पहुंचे। एक्सपो की जानकारी देते हुए करमजीत सिंह ने बताया कि आज तीसरे दिन एक्सपो में एमएसएमई ने एक सेमिनार आयोजित किया, जिसमें

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਐਕਸਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਐਮਐਸਐਮਈ ਦਾ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮਐਸਐਮਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਿਰੇਂਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਐਮਐਸਐਮਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਐਮਐਸਐਮਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਕਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਐਕਸਪੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਆਤਮ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ' ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਐਕਸਪੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਐਕਸਪੋ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਐਕਸਪੋ 26 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ।

Annual Athletic Meets of Paragon Senior Secondary School and Paragon Kids Play School held

Paragon Senior Secondary School students show athletic prowess in track and field events

Chandigarh, Nov 24, 2023: Students from Classes III-VIII competed in the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, which was held at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. Students in classes VII–VIII competed in track and field events that included the 100-m and 200-m sprints, 400-meter relay, long jump, and shot put.

 Dr. Ginni Duggal, District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Mohali was the Chief Guest of the Annual Athletic Meet. Paragon Senior Secondary School’s President Kulwant Kaur Shergill; Chief Administrative Officer(CAO) Bawra Shergill; and Principal, Jasmeet Kaur were also present at the event.   

Iqbal Shergill, Director, Paragon Senior Secondary School said, "Sports is a vital part of the education that we aim to impart at Paragon. In order to encourage students' regarding physical exercise and a sense of teamwork, we commemorate the annual athletic meet. Our students’ eagerness to participate, compete, and succeed is something we are thrilled to see.”

The Annual Athletic Meet started with an oath-taking ceremony followed by the release of balloons. A Zumba performance with Balls and Dumbbells was the main attraction. 

A day prior to the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Senior Secondary School the Annual Athletic Meet of Paragon Kids Play School, was held at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. Students from Kindergarten till Class II participated. The Chief Guest was Prabhjot Singh, Former Indian Hockey Player and Olympian while the Guest of Honor was Sukhwinder Tinku Level II BCCI Coach, Former Indian Cricketer and Head Coach Paragon Cricket Academy. 

The little ones wowed the crowd with their aerobics display.  Children had a lot of fun competing in races and displaying their skills.

Nearly two thousand students of   Paragon Senior Secondary School and Paragon Kids Play School located  in Sec 71, Mohali , took part  in  the Annual Athletic Meet  spread over two-days. Prizes were given for best students in different sports. What's more, students attaining 100 percent attendance, best NCC Cadets, best NSS Volunteers, best orators, best bibliomaniacs, best vocalists, best instrumentalists, best dancers and more were also announced and felicitated .
