Today, there is a growing need in the world to focus on renewable power because of the drastically changing climate. Samidha Foundation’s Hannah Nagpal showcased a brilliant performance at Tennis Tournament

Hannah Nagpal, a student of Gurugram-based Samidha Foundation, performed brilliantly in the Singha-PSLT-AITA National Series 2022 of Tennis held in Jalandhar, Punjab. In this national-level competition, Nagpal became the player to reach the finals in her category in both singles and doubles. Although she lost in the final match of both the formats, the audience and sports critics praised her for her robust performance.

This is a prestigious tournament organised by Singha-Punjab State Lawn Tennis Association (PSLT)-All India Tennis Association (AITA).

Nagpal reached the finals in the singles format, performing brilliantly but lost the singles final. In the same sequence, in the doubles format, Nagpal reached the final with Suryanshi K. With her combined performance, she finished at number 2 in the tournament, emerging as an outstanding runner-up. 

Hannah also expressed her gratitude to Samidha Foundation for constant training and support. Samidha Foundation works to help every girl child of a needy family. The foundation aims to provide food, shelter, education and any other help that can shape the child's future.

Hannah Nagpal's father, Kaushal Nagpal, said, “Hannah Nagpal has performed well in both singles and doubles formats in this tournament and reached the finals. Hannah is a talented player who focuses on the technical aspects of the game. As a result of this, her game has been improving over the months. CPA CONDUCTS WORKSHOPS ON MODERN TECHNIQUES OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Chandigarh Photographers Association (CPA) in association with Sony India Pvt. Ltd. conducted a workshop on modern photography. The keynote speaker at the workshop was Lakshya Chawla, a representative of Sony Company, who elaborated the latest techniques of photography lighting.

Speaking on the occasion, various speakers at the workshop highlighted the importance of photography in the present times and  defined the strength of photography quoting the famous qoute "A picture is worth a thousand words". They opined that a photographer should examine the subject, character, technique and all other aspects very carefully while capturing the picture.  

The workshop was attended by about 200 members of Chandigarh Photographers Association. Mr. Gurcharan Singh, President of the Association thanked Mr. Vinay Pai, Area Sales Manager, Sony India Pvt. Ltd. for conducting this workshop. The members of the workshop also shared their experiences in the field of photography.

The star opener of the Indian team arrived to honuor the winning team in the finals of campus cricket.

The National Finals of Red Bull Campus Cricket is on. In the women's final, Marwari College of Ranchi defeated Rizvi College of Mumbai and won the title. Indian women's team opener batsman Smriti Mandhana honored her.

Smriti said that campus cricket is being played for the last 11 years but earlier only boys used to come to compete. Girls are also playing in it for two years now and it is a big deal for all of us. A lot has changed in women's cricket in the last five years and now we are being seen on TV. Children get motivation from this that if you play well then you will play for the country. It's nice when they start playing cricket after seeing us. I started like this too. My brother used to play and I used to go there with Papa. If I wanted then I also started playing cricket. I am here today. This year is very special for all of us. The World Cup is also going to come along with the Commonwealth Games. We will try our best to perform well.

Marwari College team won:

In the final, the girls team of Marwari College won and they defeated Rizvi College. Marwari College had scored 125 runs for 5 wickets and in reply Rizvi College team scored only 89 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Mann government working diligently to bring farmers out of economic crisis: Malvinder Singh Kang

ow farmers can increase load of tubewell by paying only Rs 2500 instead of Rs 4750: 

Chandigarh, June 10: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab on Friday has welcomed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's decision to reduce the fee for load enhancement on tubewell by 50 per cent. 

AAP Punjab's chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that this decision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is a big step towards saving the agriculture and farmer of Punjab.

In a press conference at the party headquarters on Friday, Malvinder Singh Kang lauded the Mann government's decision and said that Punjab is an agricultural state and Punjab is a predominantly agrarian economy with a large section of its population dependent on farming. 

Aiming to ease the financial burden of the farmers by reducing the cost of cultivation, CM Mann took this historical decision and load enhancement on tubewells has been reduced to Rs 2,500 from the existing Rs 4,750.

He said that only by implementing these kind of pro-farmers decisions of the government, farmers can be rescued from the economic crisis.

The AAP leader said that the Aam Aadmi Party has started changing the traditional cropping pattern of wheat and paddy to improve agriculture to save farmers and farming. The government has decided to do direct sowing of paddy in the interest of paddy farmers and has also started giving incentives to the farmers for this. 

Mann government is also going to stop the arbitrariness of the sellers of pesticides and fertilizers and will take strict action against the sellers of fake medicines.

Criticizing the previous governments, Kang said the Akali Dal, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress governments used to hold "industrial and business conferences" in big hotels in other cities like Mumbai, which did not benefit the people of Punjab. While the previous governments have been ineffective in the upliftment of farmers, the Mann government has taken decisions at the grassroots level to bring reforms in the farming.

Replying to a media query, Kang said that the B JP-led central government is mocking farmers by only marginally increasing the MSP of some crops.

ਮੋਹਾਲੀ 9  ਜੂਨ :  ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਤੌਰ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ- ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਮਾਣ ਸੀ, ਉਦਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁਣ  ਬਤੌਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ  ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪ ਨੇ 92 ਸੀਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਵੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਸ਼ਿੱਦਤ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੱਖੀ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝਿਆ ਹੈ , ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵੀ  ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ  ਵਿਚ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ।   ਇਹ ਗੱਲ  ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਹੀ । ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੌਲੀ ਬੈਦਵਾਨ ਵਿਖੇ  ਨਵੇਂ ਟਿਊਬਵੈੱਲ ਦੇ  ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪਿੰਡ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਸਨ,    ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ  ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਕੱਚੇ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ 26 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪੋਸਟਾਂ ਨਵੀਂਆਂ ਕੱਢੀਆਂ  ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ,  ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ।  ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ  ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ  ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰੱਪਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਮਾਅਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।  ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਰੰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ  ।ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ, ਸੰਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿਲਜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕੁਰੱਪਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ  ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈ  । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਰੱਪਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਟੱਪ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ । ਉਹ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੇ ਦਾਇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ  । ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਗਏ ਸਵਾਲ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ 10 ਤੋਂ 15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ  ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ  । ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ  ਨਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ  ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦਲ-ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਕੇਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੱਥ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ  । ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਜਲਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ  । ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਾਰਜ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ  ।ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ  ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਕ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ  ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪੋ- ਆਪਣਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ  । ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਤਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿੱਠੂ, ਗੱਬਰ ਮੌਲੀ  ,ਮਾਸਟਰ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਿੰਦਾ, ਮੱਖਣ ਕਜਹੇੜੀ ,

आज दिनांक 10/06/2022 को *स्वच्छ भारत अभियान कार्यक्रम के तहत न्यू लेक सेक्टर-42 में नगर निगम चंडीगढ़ की आयुक्त  श्रीमती आनंदिता मित्रा की उपस्थिति एवं मार्गदर्शन में प्लॉगिंग-स्वच्छता अभियान* आयोजित किया गया। ड्राइव के दौरान एरिया पार्षद श्री जसबीर सिंह बंटी, संयुक्त आयुक्त नगर निगम श्री रूपेश कुमार (आईएएस),संयुक्त आयुक्त नगर निगम श्री रोहित गुप्ता, चीफ इंजीनियर श्री एन. पी. शर्मा, श्री मोहिंदर पाठक एच एस के साथ एमसीसी विभाग के अधिकारी और एलएसएल स्टाफ सहित आर सी डब्ल्यू के प्रेसिडेंट राजकुमार शर्मा और सनातन धर्म मंदिर के सेक्रेटरी विनोद कौशल ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया।

  अभियान के दौरान अधिकारियों द्वारा लगभग 62 किग्रा कचरा एकत्र किया गया और सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक से बचने के लिए प्रतिज्ञा भी ली गई।

Motia Group organises plantation drive promoting environmental sustenance

Time has been changing, but human dependency upon nature remains constant. And conserving it by devoting ourselves as much to the surroundings as possible is equally essential. Understanding the importance of the conservation of the ecosystem, Motia Group conducted a plantation drive with all the companies associated with the brand at Motia Royal Business Park, Chandigarh-Ambala National Highway, Zirakpur. 

All the companies recorded active participation in the campaign where saplings were distributed to them. Technical developments in recent years have unintentionally damaged the environment severely, making it necessary to take steps toward saving it. Saplings were a token of responsibility that everyone took, promising to spare ample time protecting the environment. The enthusiasm of every member in the celebration of this Environment Day program associated with the Motia Group was a treat to witness.

Tree Plantation Drive on the special day of World Environment Day

Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan is a non-profit organization run by the youth and works for the welfare of people in the Tricity. They invest in the development of youth and provide humanitarian services to the unprivileged sections of society.

Club had organised Tree Plantation Drive on the special day of World Environment Day with the involvement of Club members and members of government school.

The Cleanliness and waste management project organised Tree Plantation Drive on 5 June, 2022 in a Government school located at Panchkula.

During the drive, saplings of different categories were planted. We planted around 10 saplings. The drive was initiated as trees have numerous benefits from providing shade to reducing earth’s temperature.

The drive was organised under the Guidance of Director of Community Services Akshay Madaan, graced by Principal Ms. Neelam Sharma along with other school teachers.

लोगों को ग्रीन और क्लीन एनवायरनमेंट के प्रति किया जागरूक

चंडीगढ़:-विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर रविवार को कई स्थानों पर कार्यक्रम व गोष्ठी आयोजित कर पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर जोर दिया गया और पौधा लगाकर वृक्षारोपण का संकल्प दोहराया गया। इसी क्रम में ही वार्ड नंबर 24 के अधीन आते सेक्टर 42 स्थित आशीष पेट्रोल पंप पर जागरूक किया और सेक्टर 42  के ग्रीन बेल्ट पार्क में एरिया पार्षद जसबीर सिंह बंटी की अध्यक्षता में पौधरोपण किया गया। जिसमें गांव अटावा व सेक्टर 42 के लोगों ने  पौधरोपण करने के बाद सभी लोगों ने पर्यावरण की रक्षा का संकल्प लिया और आमजन को पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक किया।

एरिया पार्षद जसबीर सिंह बंटी ने कहा कि पर्यावरण की रक्षा तभी होगी, जब हरियाली बढ़ेगी। अगर हर व्यक्ति एक पौधा लगाए तो प्रदूषण पर स्वयमेव अंकुश लग जाएगा। उन्होंने लोगों से अपील की कि पानी बचाया जाए, पौधे लगाए जाएं। एक बार इस्तेमाल होने वाले प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल किया जाए।

Gillco Group organises massive plantation drives for ‘Go Greener Mohali’ campaign

June 04th, Mohali : Gillco Group organised large scale plantation drives in all its residential societies in an endeavor to propagate the ‘Go Greener Mohali’ campaign. Among the projects in which the Group launched its green initiatives were Gillco Independent Floors; Gillco Towers; Gillco Heights; Gillco Valley; Gillco Villas, Gillco Heights Ext. Floors are all located in the premium location of Sector 127, Mohali.

Hero Homes puts up a Lavish Pool Party as pools reopen after a 2-year halt

Leading real estate developer Hero Homes organised a fun-splash Pool Party to celebrate the reopening of the swimming pools at the residential society after a gap of two years. The grand pool party took place at Hero Homes, Phase-1, Sidhwana Canal Road, Ludhiana and was open to residents and outsiders as well.
