Citizen-Endorsed Manifesto in Delhi – "Bol Delhi Bol" – A New Paradigm in Politics

New Delhi, 23rd September 2024
The National Lok Kalyan Party (NLKP) marked a historic moment in Delhi’s political landscape by unveiling its first citizen-endorsed manifesto, launching the "Bol Delhi Bol" campaign at a press conference held at the Delhi Press Club. The manifesto represents a radical shift in governance, empowering citizens to take control of their city’s future through active participation.

NLKP’s Vision: Power in the Hands of Citizens
Under the leadership of Sardar Inder Preet Singh, NLKP's National President, the party introduced a dedicated portal allowing Delhi citizens to nominate their candidates for the Vidhan Sabha elections and submit suggestions for the manifesto.

This initiative signals the dawn of a new era, where governance is shaped by public input. "Delhi’s Voice, Delhi’s Choice" proclaimed Inder Preet Singh, emphasizing NLKP’s commitment to fostering citizen-driven democracy. He further announced NLKP’s plan to release 70+1 manifestos—70 individual manifestos for each constituency and one unified manifesto, designed to reflect both local and city-wide aspirations.

A Bold Framework for Delhi’s Future: The DELHI Framework
NLKP Vice President Sardar Harmeet Singh unveiled the visionary DELHI Framework, which prioritizes:
• Development
• Education
• Livelihoods
• Healthcare
• Innovative Governance
National Vice President and Spokesperson, Sardar Harmeet Singh urged all political stakeholders to join The Delhi Alliance, a political coalition aimed at inclusive growth and harmony. "We invite every party to contribute to creating a better Delhi, a Delhi of equality and opportunity for all," he stated.
Empowering the Youth & Defending Women’s Rights
Sardar Aman Bandvi, NLKP’s Secretary General, highlighted the party’s dedication to youth employment with the promise of creation of a State Employment Policy and a Youth Manifesto. Aman also introduced NLKP's groundbreaking proposal to enable polling for NRIs, army officers, and jawans, ensuring that all citizens can participate in shaping Delhi’s future, regardless of where they are stationed.
Meanwhile, Bibi Harleen Kaur, NLKP National Women’s Wing President, addressed the crucial role of women in shaping Delhi’s political discourse. "Women have always been the backbone of families and societies. It’s time they led from the front in politics too," she stated. Harleen Kaur stressed NLKP’s zero tolerance for crimes against women, calling for immediate reforms to ensure their safety and security.
Commitment to Education, Healthcare, and Law & Order
Delhi State leadership echoed NLKP’s national message. Arun Kumar Sharma, Delhi State President, stressed the need for educational reforms, while Dr. Mahesh Sharma, General Secretary and Head of the Manifesto Committee, delved into law and order improvements and developmental policies.
Arun Kumar Singh, Delhi Organisation Secretary, focused on expanding health and livelihood initiatives and growing the NLKP’s inclusive membership base.
Bibi Tarwinder Kaur Khalsa, Head of Delhi’s Women Wing, committed to empowering Delhi’s women through skilling programs and greater participation in governance, ensuring a safer and more prosperous Delhi for all.
A New Era in Delhi Politics
With the launch of its citizen-endorsed manifesto, NLKP redefines politics by placing power directly in the hands of the people. "This is a paradigm shift in Delhi politics," said Inder Preet Singh. "For the first time, the people will shape their governance at every level. Together, we are building a new future for Delhi."
