  Embarking on the assimilation of the roots of Indian culture into the office culture, TDI Infratech organised an event to mark the Teej festival for its female employees on Saturday at TDI Club Retreat Mohali. It was a way of showing their deep regard for its female workers, who were working in spite of keeping fast on the auspicious festival for the welfare of their husbands. The event started at 1 pm with a special lunch that had special food items or ‘Vrat ka Khana’ for fast keepers without salt, flour, sugar and wheat. Fruits, Fruit Shakes, Sabudana, Coconuts, Milk, Dry Fruits, and Khichdi made of Amaranth grains were the presented buffet to all the women employees. The fastest growing name in the power infra and renewable energy industry Hartek Group organised a Teej Celebration festive event at their head office in Mohali. The event took place a day before the Teej festival. It saw spirited participation from married and unmarried women employees who were clad in beautiful traditional dresses and ethnic clothes. As the government has banned single-use plastics from the 1st of July, Punjab-based real estate firm Motia Group has decided to completely do away with plastic usage at its office and use eco-friendly alternatives like paper bags and jute bags. Motia Group has a massive workforce of employees. All its employees have shown their solidarity towards the Group’s initiative to abjure the use of plastic bags, keepers and utensils. As a part of its CSR initiative to promote environmental sustainability, Motia Group has come up with this noble campaign. Previously, the Group had organised Go Green campaigns, plantation drives, etc., to instil a sense of awareness among people to keep the environment clean and pure. Real estate firm Sushma Group organised a Covid Booster Shots campaign to vaccinate people from underprivileged backgrounds and hailing from downtrodden sections of the society on 15th July. The noble initiative took place at Sushma Grande Nxt in the early hours of the morning, which showed the Group’s intent to make India ‘Covid-19 free’. A medical team from Civil Hospital, Derabassi, was invited to carry out the vaccinations and oversee the process. In a bid to mark the 74th Chartered Accountants Day, leading real estate major, Hero Homes organised a 6 km marathon run from Hero Homes office in Canal Road in Ludhiana.  The marathon took place on 3rd July from 5:30 am and covered a to and fro distance of 6 kilometers. ‘Push yourself to the limit, Run the Marathon’ was the Hero Homes-led marathon activity theme. Around 100+ ran the marathon and participated in the activity wholeheartedly. Almost all Hero employees were also a part of the run. The finishers were honoured with medals to salute their dedication to fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Chandigarh, July 2, 2022: NISA President Kulbhushan Sharma has thanked the then Local Bodies Minister Anil Vij, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta for extending the period of fire safety certificate of private schools to three years. In a press conference held at Chandigarh Press Club here today, Sharma said that private schools had to face financial and mental problems every year for fire certificate renewal. Private schools are now feeling relieved due to the extension of these certificates. He had raised this demand before the then Local Bodies Minister Anil Vij a few months ago and requested to extend the period of the certification. He said that the government should now fulfill other pending demands of private schools as well.
