Mohali, September 22: The 3-day international conference on Integrative Medicine & Holistic Healing concluded at NIPER on Sunday with a resolve by participants that disease could not be healed completely unless we work upon patients’ emotional issues along with other treatments. Thus its high time that doctors and patients look at health care differently. Most of the doctors are trained to focus on the physical aspects of the disease, but traditional wisdom and holistic healing methods and energy medicine tell us to focus on the mind and soul of the patient also.
The conference was organized by The Quantum Clinic, Mohali in association with Holistic Healing Trust and Max Super specialty Hospital, Mohali.
Dr Sachin Gupta a noted medical oncologist and a main organizer of the event said that that diseases cannot be healed completely unless we work upon patients’ emotional issues along with other treatments. Adopting yoga, deep breathing, meditation and pranayam techniques also help in improving physical and mental health status. Cancer hospitals should develop a team of alternative healers like reiki healers, pranic healers, hypnotherapists and psychologists, who can work closely with oncologists and help all patients in a holistic way, asserted Dr Gupta.
During conference a wide array of therapists from across the globe presented their views and research on diverse subjects including biofield viewers who capture the auric field of an individual and helps in determining the problems in their energy field, hypnotherapy that helps in releasing past traumas and transforming thoughts and emotions, ozone therapy which is being used as an adjunctive therapy for a wide range of chronic illnesses and acupuncture which has immense healing potential in a variety of diseases and chronic problems.
Recognizing music as the language of the soul, it was made an important component of conference. In conference some of the best sound healers from abroad took audience through a musical experience of ancient traditions, both oriental and occidental, mixed with fusions and contemporary styles to transmit healing vibrations.
We made audience to listen, experience and imbibe the variety that is being offered by every presenter over these 3-day said Dr Shaveta Gupta the co –organizer of show from The Quantum Clinic adding promotion of organic lifestyle and natural farming is another aim of this conference.
