Designer Simran Dhillon Unveils his Flagship Store at HLP Galleria with a Spectacular Fashion Show

Mohali, December 3, 2024 – Renowned fashion designer Simran Dhillon launched his flagship store at HLP Galleria, Mohali, with an event that exuded fashion and elegance. The highlight of the opening was a glam-filled fashion show that showcased his latest bridal and wedding collections which redefine luxury, sustainability, and modern design.

Each design reflected Dhillon’s signature style, blending intricate hand-stitching, luxurious fabrics, and bold color palettes. Moving beyond traditional reds, the collection embraced deep emeralds, rich blues, pastels, and jewel tones, accentuated by pearls, Swarovski crystals, mukaish work, and tissue fabrics. Exquisite jewelry by Jia Diamonds and A Jewels added the perfect touch of sparkle, complementing the outfits flawlessly.

Known for his bespoke approach, Simran Dhillon's studio offers handcrafted bridal wear starting at ₹1.5 lakh and men’s wedding attire, including bandhgalas, sherwanis, and tuxedos, starting at ₹40,000. 6th Edition of Amateur Golfers Society Golf Tournament Held

Panchkula, December 1, 2024: The Amateur Golfers Society (AGS) a non-governmental organisation(NGO) organised the 6th edition of its prestigious golf tournament for amateurs– The Amateur Golfers Society Golf Tournament, at the Panchkula Golf Club(PGC). Anurag Rastogi (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Finance), Government of Haryana, was the chief guest, while guests of honour were Suresh Chandel, former MP from Himachal Pradesh and Sanjeev Goyal (IAAS), Director General Audit (Defence Accounts), Chandigarh. The tournament saw an impressive participation of 104 amateur golfers, many amateur women golfers also took part.

Winners in different handicap categories got trophies and special prizes. All the participants were given a goodie pack and participation score card. The golfers played all 18 holes in the 72-par course. Brig G J Singh won in the 0-9 handicap category. Brig R P S Rai won in the 10-15 handicap category with a score of 76. Col Gopi Singh with a score of 82 was the 1st runner up. With a score of 76 Sunil Katyal was adjudged the winner in the 16 & above handicap category. While, with a score of 79 each 
S K Goel and A P Singh were the combined 1st runners-up . In ladies the overall winners were Arushi Chawhan & Radhika Verma. The longest drive award was bagged by R K Meena (IPS).

Anurag Rastogi(IAS) congratulated AGS for organising the tournament and promoting the game. The PGC golf course is a beautiful place to play golf with such facilities and tournaments like these more people will get attracted to play the game.

Advocate (High Court) Suresh K. Gupta, Founder Trustee of the Amateur Golfers Society while talking to reporters said, “We have plans to create a state-of-the-art golf range at PGC for giving a fillip to the sport. We will then establish golf ranges in all districts of Haryana in 1 year. We want support from the Haryana government in this regard. We are also coming up with another tournament on 8 & 9 February 2025. What’s more, the AGS has finalised holding a tournament in Malaysia in collaboration with the Malaysian Government.”

Gupta also raised the issue of NHAI wanting to take over 2 acres of the golf course for building a road. I have requested Mr Chandel to get this sorted out.

Suresh Chandel said that he will meet Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and take up the issue with him so that a resolution is reached.

Luxe Estate which is coming up with The Sky Heights - Panchkula’s tallest ultra-luxury residential project supported the tournament. Manoj Gupta, Director, Luxe Estate said, “Our vision is to provide the highest level of security, best quality of life, outstanding amenities including facilities like yoga, swimming, club house, theatre, a ramped up parking area etc. in our upcoming project.”

The golf tournament also received support from Industrialist Krishan Gopal Goel. Others who supported the golf tournament were Dental Wires Dental Clinic, Kackria Estates, Haryana Marble Store, Dhanas (Chandigarh) & Gupta Eye Hospital, Panchkula.

As many as 50 life members of AGS were also felicitated. Prominent life members who were present included Patrons S S Prasad (IAS), Ex Home Secretary, Government of Haryana, Vipul Maini and S C Kansal. Life member Sudarshan Goyal too was present.

Suresh Gupta announced that the Amateur Golfers Society has decided to bear expenses for group life & medical insurance for caddies working at PGC.
