गुरिंदरजीत सिंह सैनी ने आनंदपुर साहिब सीट से निर्दलीय चुनाव लड़ने का किया ऐलान

चंडीगढ़:- पूर्व कांग्रेस नेता गुरिंदरजीत सिंह सैनी ने लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 में आनंदपुर साहिब सीट से निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार के रूप में चुनाव लड़ने की घोषणा की है। जिससे राष्ट्रीय और क्षेत्रीय दलों के उम्मीदवारों की मुश्किलें बढ़ना तय है। गुरिंदर जीत सिंह अब आनंदपुर साहिब लोकसभा सीट से चुनाव लड़ेंगे। हालाँकि उनके निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार के रूप में चुनाव लड़ने की घोषणा से पहले कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने उन्हें चुनाव न लड़ने के लिए कई प्रलोभन दिए, लेकिन उन्होंने सभी प्रस्तावों को ठुकरा दिया और चुनाव लड़ने का मन बना लिया। उन्होंने अकेले अपने स्तर पर चुनाव लड़ने का यह फैसला नहीं लिया है, बल्कि अपने परिवार के सदस्यों, समर्थकों और कार्यकर्ताओं से सलाह-मशविरा करने के बाद ही यह फैसला लिया है। इसके अलावा उन्होंने नामांकन की तारीख का भी ऐलान कर दिया है।

चुनाव लड़ने की घोषणा के बाद पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए गुरिंदरजीत सिंह ने बताया कि उनका जन्म चंडीगढ़ में हुआ और बीकॉम तक की पढ़ाई उन्होंने चंडीगढ़ से की और उसके बाद एमबीए- सिम्बोसिस पुणे से की। उन्होंने कहा कि राजनीति उन्हें विरासत में मिली है। रोपड़ के पूर्व विधायक संत अजीत सिंह उनके दादा हैं। राजनीति के बारे में उन्होंने उनसे ही काफी हद तक बहुत कुछ सीखा है।' उन्होंने कहा कि दूसरी पार्टियों के उम्मीदवार आनंदपुर साहिब संसदीय सीट से न होकर बाहरी हैं, लेकिन वह स्थानीय हैं और उनका पूरा परिवार और रिश्तेदार इसी तरफ से हैं। गुरिंदर जीत सिंह ने कहा कि उनकी राजनीति की शुरुआत साल 1999 में नेशनल स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन ऑफ इंडिया से हुई। फिर वह 2003-2012 तक यूथ कांग्रेस का हिस्सा रहे। इसके बाद वह 2012-2013 तक मेन कांग्रेस में जिला उपाध्यक्ष के पद पर रहे। साल 2014 में उन्होंने खुद को राजनीति से दूर कर लिया और समाज सेवा की ओर रुख कर लिया। इस दौरान उन्होंने समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों के विकास के लिए कई परियोजनाओं पर काम किया। उन्होंने कोविड कोरोनाकाल के दौरान कोविड रोगियों की देखभाल के अलावा दिहाड़ी मजदूरों को भी सहायता प्रदान की।

गुरिंदर जीत सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि संत बाबा करतार सिंह जी भैरोमाजरा (चमकौर साहिब) का आशीर्वाद हमेशा उनके और उनके परिवार के साथ रहा है। गुरिंदर जीत सिंह ने कहा कि वह लड़ने मात्र के लिए ही चुनाव मैदान में नही हैं, बल्कि जीत का लक्ष्य लेकर चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। चुनाव जीतने का उनका लक्ष्य समाज की सेवा करना है। वह नशे के लिए बदनाम पंजाब राज्य से इस कलंक को मिटाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं और इस दिशा में पूरी लगन से काम कर रहे हैं। युवाओं को नशे से दूर रखकर खेल और शारीरिक फिटनेस के प्रति प्रोत्साहित करना भी उनके चुनावी एजेंडे में है। उन्होंने कहा कि संसदीय सीट के लिए उनके पास बहुत सारे एजेंडे हैं, जिन्हें वह अपने चुनावी घोषणा पत्र के माध्यम से सबके साथ जल्द ही साझा करेंगे। ये वो एजेंडे हैं जो उन्होंने लोगों की राय जानने के बाद तैयार किए हैं।

42030 People Served from January to March 2024 by 108 Ambulance!

*Punjab, March 20, 2024:* Ziqitza Healthcare Limited, responsible for 108 ambulance services across Punjab, has provided immediate assistance to over 42030 people from January 2024 to March 2024. 

Of these cases, 3275 were accidental, 1571 were cardiac, 8203 were pregnancy-related, 6160 were Medical emergencies and 22821 were other emergencies. Ambulances, managed by capable staff, continue to ensure that each case is handled well by facilitating timely hospital admission, thereby saving precious lives. 108 Ambulance aims to provide the best possible emergency support to every patient.

In line with the prime objective of serving people in distress, the 108 centralized call center plays a significant role by promptly assisting all cases with strong support.

According to the requests received by 108 Emergency Ambulance services, Ludhiana reported the highest number of cases, with 10692 in total. Among these cases, 342 were accidental, 195 were cardiac arrest, 1209 were pregnancy-related, 944 were medical emergencies, and 2656 were other emergencies. This was followed by Jalandhar with 7616 cases, including 275 accidental, 188 cardiac arrest, 824 pregnancy-related, 716 medical emergencies, and 1805 other emergencies. Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar reported 6702 cases, Amritsar 6544, Patiala 6220, Bathinda 4428, Gurdaspur 2052, Hoshairpur 2523 and Pathankot 482.

The 108 Ambulance continues to play an active role in serving people in need by expanding its emergency services and ensuring timely assistance. Ambulance pilots are also fully trained to provide treatment to patients in need. These 108 Ambulances are available across all districts and cities of Punjab.

108 Ambulance Conducts First Responder Program at Amritsar Public School, Amritsar

The primary objective of this program is to provide students with the vital knowledge base for dealing with any medical emergency and be hands-on with first aid assistance. 22 alumni associations tee off at the Sahil Sharma Memorial Inter-Alumni Golf Tournament

Chandigarh, April 17, 2024: The Sahil Sharma Memorial Inter-Alumni Golf Tournament 2024 was held at the Chandigarh Golf Club here today. The event, in which 22 schools participated, was organised by Ex Vivekite Association (EVA). 

The Best Player of the Sahil Sharma Inter Alumni Golf Tournament 2024 presented by The Ex Vivekite Association, was Mr Sandeep Singh Sandhu ( Bobby) who scored 70 while Miwan, was the Runners up. In Best Net, Jayant Pathak scored 37 while Viren Ghuman became the runner up by scoring 36. Puneet Dhiman was awarded in Longest Drive while Sahil Sehgal was awarded for Nearest to the Pin.  

 

President of the EVA Gurdershan Singh Nirankari said, “We had the 3rd edition of this widely popular tournament. We named the tournament after our beloved Alumni, Mr. Sahil Sharma , an avid golfer and integral part of EVA s journey.” He was a practicing Advocate and a part of EVA Golf Team since its inception.

Film stars, celebrities, and artists, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kiran Juneja, Govind Namdev, Pradeep Singh Rawat, Nirmal Rishi, Vijay Patkar, Chandan Prabhakar, Pankaj Berry, Jayprakash Shaw, Akarsh Alagh, Balwinder Bicky, Sharhaan Singh, Rupinder Kaur Rupi, Malkeet Raunl, Raj Dhallwal, Tirath Singh Gill and many more, graced the Chandigarh Music and Film Festival (CMFF).

The highlight of the festival was the sessions with leading figures of the Indian film industry like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kiran Juneja, Pankaj Berry, Chandan Prabhakar, Pradeep Singh Rawat, Govind Namdev, Vijay Patkar, Akarsh Alagh, Jaiprakash Shaw, Binnu Dhillon, Smeep Kang and Bhawna Sharma . They shared insights and experiences with the audience. Topics ranged from their creative process, understanding characters and emotions, to the business side of filmmaking. The students at Chandigarh University were amazed by the stories shared.

Madhur Bhandarkar, a renowned film maker, stated, "The Chandigarh Film Festival presents a golden opportunity for emerging artists, offering them a chance to experience, learn, and grow. Furthermore, it serves as a platform for aspiring students to directly interact with the artists they admire, fostering invaluable exchanges, mentorship, and inspiration for the future of cinema."

Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Festival Director of the Film Festival, said, “We are proud that the 3 days of the 4th Chandigarh Music and Film Festival were yet another well-appreciated and successful days. It has been an amazing journey, and we are grateful to all the artists, filmmakers, and volunteers who made it possible. Mr. Sharma further emphasized that CMFF aims to unfold opportunities for upcoming and budding talent of Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh who want to showcase their talent to the audiences. This edition showcased more than 29 independent films from April 7 to 9, 2024.The festival had a diverse selection of films and shorts showcasing the talent and creativity of local filmmakers. Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) Successfully Concludes 16 Awareness Programs in Punjab State

Chandigarh - April 9, 2024: 

The Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) proudly announces the successful completion of 16 awareness programs across various districts in Punjab from February to April 2024. These initiatives, funded by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, were conducted in collaboration with local educational institutions.

Reena Chadda, General Manager of IPCA Punjab Region, expressed her gratitude to the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, stating, "We are immensely proud to have successfully concluded these 16 awareness programs in Punjab. Through collaboration with local schools and support from the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, IPCA has made significant strides in spreading awareness about environmental conservation."

IPCA's mission was to educate students and communities about environmental sustainability and pollution control measures. These programs were implemented in 16 schools across Punjab, including Govt High Special School, Nangal, Rupnagar, Govt. High School, Dubeta, Rupnagar, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Dhamana, Rupnagar, Govt. Players of Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts federation of India bag Medals in India Akai Open Karate Championship

Chandigarh April 8, 2024: In a major development, players of Budo Kai do Mixed Martial Arts federation of India bagged Gold. Silver and Bronze Medals in India Akai Open Karate Championship held from April 6 to April 7, 2024 at Kapurthala, Punjab.

While Sukhjeet Kaur clinched Gold medal and Best Fighter award in the tournament, other participants who bagged the Gold medal included Amninder Kaur, Komalpreet Kaur,Garvita Kaushal, Pritam Dass, lakshay Kaushal, Gursimran Singh and Dilpreet Singh. 

The Silver Medal winners include Sajanpreet Singh, Harjot Singh, Lovejot Singh, Jashanpreet Singh, Mintu Singh and Gurmeet Kumar while those who bagged Bronze Medals at the tournament included Simaranjeet Singh, Vikas, Kulwinder Singh, Harshpreet Singh, Karanveer Singh and Pardeep Kumar. 

All the team members were awarded by Mr. Sharanjeet Singh, President, Budo kai do Mixed Martial Arts federation of India. While congratulating the winners and the participants, he said, “It is a matter of great pride that all the members performed exceptionally well in the competition and it is their hard work and the devotion of Coach Harpreet Kaur, Balram Hakla, Munish Sharma and Suman Lata Sharma under whose guidance these athletes achieved the feat.”

Medals, shields, awards are very important for participants as they are a morale booster for the players. ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਫਿਲਮ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਦੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਦਿਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਭਰਵੇਂ ਹੁੰਗਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਲਮ ਮੇਕਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤਜਰਬੇਕਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੰਨ-ਸੁਵੰਨਾ ਇਕੱਠ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾਦਾਇਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਰਿਹਾ।
