2nd International Regenerative Medicine Conclave 2018 concluded

Chandigarh 13 May - 2nd International Regenerative Medicine Conclave held on 2018, May 12-13, 2018, Chandigarh, INDIA , Organized by Anti Ageing Foundation ( Society Of Regenerative Aesthetic & Functional Medicine) and Indian Stem Cell Study Group .

Theme Of Conclave: Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Multispeciality Applications Of healthcare.

Dr Prabhu Mishra ,President : Anti Ageing Foundation ( Society Of Regenerative Aesthetic & Functional Medicine) and Organising Secretary Of the Conclave said: “Stem cell research and Therapy is now beginning to teach us how to harness, rejuvenate and enhance our body's ability to regenerate after disease and ageing.
This knowledge from academic research now holds great promise in the clinic in the form of regenerative medicine. “

Innumerable people have already benefited from various stem cell therapies. And this is just the beginning. The true potential of stem cells and regenerative medicine is mostly untapped. Therefore the prospect of this branch of science is exciting.

Over the recent years progress has been made at a breakneck speed. Scientists in India as well as Indian Scientists in overseas are making their fair share of contributions in this niche field of cellular therapy and regenerative technologies.

Anti Ageing Foundation & ISCSG maintains an international focus on accelerating the development and clinical introduction of cutting edge regenerative medical, adult stem cell and immunotherapy treatments. In an effort to bring scientific discovery and medical innovation back to the forefront of clinical practice in the INDIA.

Dr Manish Khanna : President - Indian Stem Cell Study Group , and Scientific Chairman Of Congress said-
Today's conference is among the largest stem-cell conferences ever held in India. We are lucky to be able to welcome scientists from all over the world, as well as experts from industry and the investment world. Your diverse interests reflect a flourishing global focus, and fascination, with stem-cell research in Multispeciality applications like Orthopaedics , Cancer, metabolic disorders like diabetes , liver diseases, cardiac failure , Aesthetics and auto immune diseases.
We believe we can provide the perfect platform for collaboration among India, and international scientists in laboratories, in classrooms, in companies and at conferences. These projects address a wide range of health concerns, from cancer and Parkinson's disease, to stroke , and cardiovascular conditions. We believe their work will lead to a greater understanding of the basic biology and clinical application of stem cells.

Autologous Minimal manipulated cells are safe but still it needs more clinical data and trials to show efficacy In neuro developmental disorders like autism , cerebral palsy and  musculoskeletal gene related disorders like muscular dystrophy as stem cells doesn’t have any properties to add or delete the gene . Spinal cord injury If it’s old injury still no data shows the improvement in the conditions . Especially clinical trials in such diseases should require to probe efficacy. On the other hand Diseases like diabetes , Liver Diseases , metabolic disorders, cancers , limbal stem cells , cardiac diseases have shown results and research carried by our top medical school in INDIA .

The Union health ministry has proposed an amendment to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act that may finally bring stem cells and cell-based products under the ambit of the law.
In a notification issued on April 4, the ministry defined the category of stem cells and their derivatives that would be termed a drug, and would thereby have to follow the protocols mandated for any drug development. It said stem cells and products which are substantially altered, amounting to a change in biological characteristics or those subjected to gene editing or modification, will be treated as a drug and will have to seek the regulator’s approval before coming to the market.
The notification though has practically left the use of autologous stem cells — where the individual’s own stem cells are collected and minimally treated before infusing it back into the patient — unchecked. Such “therapies” meant to repair or regenerate damaged cells, tissues and organs are more rampantly used in centres across the country. The proposed amendment to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act states that these would be considered “minimal manipulation”. Hence, doctors could continue to offer them without requiring a nod from the drug regulatory body.

From the essential details to the big picture, the point is clear: academia, industry, business and government support stem-cell research and regenerative medicine. For all it's capable of, and for what we believe it can one day realise for society - in preventing and curing disease and injuries, in building businesses, designing advanced technology and, of course, enhancing the quality of life of people.

Conferences such as ours today will certainly help in this regard.  For bringing you here together today with one paramount purpose in mind: to change life, to make it better.
Regenerative medicine through stem cell technology is a source of hope for many suffering from ailments including auto immune disease, diabetes, metabolic disorder and cancer. While new therapeutic options are continually in development, progress has, until recently, been hampered by political and medical ethics arguments.

Dr Rajesh Gulia : Organising Chairman of the Congress also given his insight as Stem cell and PRP is he future of Erectile dysfunction and Urethral stricture.

Dr Gita Negi from AIIMS Rishikesh also mentioned growth factors and PRP is very efficacious In osteoarthritis and Dr Vishal Maggo Associate professor plastic surgery from the same institution mentioned about non healing ulcers . Christine Gaudet delivered talk on Regenerative medicine anti ageing products will do paradigm shift in aesthetic care and many other elite faculties were present likely Dr Sankar Narayanan, Dr Natesh, Dr Kanchan, Dr Anna Galeba, Dr Vijay, and Dr Mahajan.
