GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND PRIVATE MILLERS PROCURE 17892925 TONNES OF PADDY TILL TODAY

CHANDIGARH, DECEMBER 10: The Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 17892925   tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 4463   tonnes procured on 10 th  December. Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 17892925 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 17620812 tonnes of paddy (98.5%) till date whereas 272113 tonnes (1.5%) of paddy has been procured by millers. He said that PUNGRAIN had procured 5988042 tonnes (33.5%), MARKFED procured 3889581 tonnes (21.7%). PUNSUP procured 3839978 tonnes (21.5%), PSWC procured 1751604 tonnes (9.8%) and PAFC was able to procure 1771022 tonnes  (9.9%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 380585 tonnes (2.1%).

Chandigarh, Dec 10- In Haryana, more than 71.21 lakh metric tonnes (MTs) of Paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, as  against the arrival of 69.56 lakh MT during the same period of last year.            While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, government procuring agencies have procured over 59.11 lakh metric tonnes whereas over 12.10 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.           He said that more than 27.51 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 19.22 lakh MT by Hafed, over 6.49 lakh MT by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation, over 5.68 lakh MT by the Haryana Agro-industries Corporation and 19,667 MT by the Food Corporation of India.           Giving de...

Chandigarh, Dec 10– The Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, has strongly condemned the incident of rape of six-year old girl in Uklana as a huge embarrassment to the humanity and said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) would investigate the case to ensure that justice is provided to the victim at any cost.             Interacting with media persons in Hisar today, Capt Abhimanyu said that taking cognizance of the incident, the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, had directed that the case be investigated by a SIT.          Asked about the campaign launched by the INLD on toll tax, the minister said when in opposition, INLD leaders mislead people by giving irresponsible statements on providing 24-hour power supply and free electricity. Chandigarh, December 10- With a view to bringing uniformity, transparency and avoiding any major gap between the market price and collector rates of properties, the Haryana Government has decided to revise the collector rates both in urban and rural areas, twice in a financial year.             This was disclosed by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, while speaking as Chief Guest at the concluding session of the two-day national meet of the Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees Organizations, here today.             A committee has been constituted under chairmanship of the deputy commissioner concerned for this purpose. Chandigarh roads set to throb with more than 200 bikers taking off on 'Bravehearts Ride'

Chandigarh, December 2 `Riding for the Military’, over 200 bikers will set Chandigarh’s roads on fire on Sunday as they rev up the momentum for the forthcoming Military Literature Festival (MLF) with the `Bravehearts Ride’.             The enthralling spectacle can be viewed by the general public all along the route of the ride, beginning from the War Memorial (Bougainvillea Garden, Sector 3), at 11 a.m.             The pulsating, action-packed event will see the bikers riding heavy bikes, including Harley Davidson, Triumph, Indian Chief, Ducati, Benelli and Royal Enfield, traverse the over 41 km rally route. High Security Registration Plates on new vehicles (Private and Commercial) registering in UT, Chandigarh will start from 1st

It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the process for affixing of High Security Registration Plates on new vehicles (Private and Commercial) registering in UT, Chandigarh will start from 1st December 2017 at four notified locations i.e. the offices of R&LA, Sector-17, SDM(S), Sector-42, SDM (E), Industrial Area, Phase-I, Chandigarh, office of State Transport Authority, Sector 18, Chandigarh. The owners of the vehicle getting their vehicles registered w.e.f. 01.12.2017 shall apply for affixation of HSRP at their respective offices on the basis of receipt of Road Tax. In case, if, the owners of the vehicle of above series do not have affixed HSRP plates on their vehicles, the Traffic Police, UT, Chandigarh will be asked to initiate the process for challaning of their vehicle. The affixation of previous registered series will be taken up shortly.
