Panchkula, April 17: Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League’s round robin matches have concluded. The 7th and last day of round robin matches saw some thrilling matches take place at the pristine Panchkula Golf Club. The opening match in Group B saw Tee Birds lock horns with Par-Tee Crashers in a must-win tie to secure their place in the Quarter-Finals. After falling back initially, Tee Birds staged an impressive fight back to edge out Par-Tee Crashers 38-33, and secured third place in Group B of the league.

In the other tie to determine the 4th quarter finalists from group B, Raging Bulls pipped Shivalik Swingers by one WIN, 37-36, to avoid a tie in the leader-board standings and made it through to the last eight.

The other 2 quarter finalists from Group B are - Green Warriors and Golfing Eagles. Despite the loss to Tee Titans with a score of 46-30, Green Warriors managed to top the group with 18 points, while Golfing Eagles beat Hansa Legends with a commanding margin 35-28 and finished in second place with 15 points.

Meanwhile, in Group A, while the top three positions were already secured, a virtual knockout match was contested between the Sneakin Golfers and ADS Falcons. The Sneakin Golfers emerged victorious with a 39–36 win over their opponents and advanced to the Quarter-Finals.

Continuing its winning streak, Victory waves got the better of Highland Kings 39-36 and remained the only undefeated team in the round robin stage and topped group A with 7 wins and 21 points. Highland kings and Golfing Panthers had 5 wins each to gather 15 points.

Notably, the eight teams advancing to the knockout stage of the Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League are - Victory Waves, Highland Kings, Golfing Panthers, Sneakin Golfers, Green Warriors, Golfing Eagles, Tee Birds, and Raging Bulls.

The Quarter-Finals are scheduled to take place on 18th April 2025.

On the sixth day of the Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League, Fantastic Fours outplayed Aces by Vintage Buildtech with a decisive 40–30 victory in a Group A match held on the lush greens of the Panchkula Golf Club on Monday. The league is currently in its round-robin stage, with sixteen teams participating. The teams are divided into two groups—Group A and Group B—comprising eight teams each.

In another thrilling Group A contest, Victory Waves swept past Golfing Panthers with a 39–29 win. Following suit, Clubs on Flames edged out ADS Falcons with a close 34–33 scoreline. Highland Kings registered a commanding 44–24 victory over Sneakin Golfers, further intensifying the Group A competition.

In a Group B showdown, Green Warriors defeated Shivalik Swingers by a narrow margin, finishing 38–34 in a tightly contested match. Next, in a close contest, Tee Titans defeated Hansa Legends, 34-30. Meanwhile, Golfing Eagles won against Tee Birds 33-30 and Par-Tee Crashers beat Raging Bulls 38-33.

Notably, in one of the most heroic games on Day 6, Col A K Sharma from Team Tee Birds single handedly took on a pair from Team Golfing Eagles - Brig RPS Rai and Ankit Bansal and registered 4 wins against 9 wins registered by the pair.

Meanwhile, On Day 5 of the Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League, Golfing Panthers edged Sneakin Golfers 36–33, while Highland Kings defeated Clubs on Flames 44–27. Victory Waves beat Fantastic Fours 37–25, and ADS Falcons outplayed Aces by Vintage Buildtech 42–29.

‘Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League, 2025’ From 7th to 23rd April

It Will Be the League's First Edition 

16 Teams Including 224 Players Will Compete in the Golf League 

Panchkula, April   6, 2025.

The Panchkula Golf Club will be hosting the inaugural Aeroplaza Panchkula Golf League (APGL) from the 7^th – 23^rd April 2025. The League is a Team Championship contested by 16 teams of 14 members each. It will be played in 2 stages, namely the Round Robin stage followed by the Knockout stage, each with different scoring systems which will test the players’ skills, strategy and team spirit comprehensively.

Aligned to its objectives of promoting the sport, the League has a very inclusive structure which ensures each team comprises a lady golfer, one senior golfer above 70 years of age and players from different handicap categories.

Details of the League were shared at a curtain raiser press meet held at the Club’s premises here today and were shared by- VS Kundu, Chairman, Organising Committee of APGL; Col. AS Dhillon (Retired), General Manager, Panchkula Golf Club and Member- Secretary, Organising Committee, APGL; Swadhin Patel, Chief Referee, APGL and Digraj Singh, Tournament Director, APGL. Vishal Dhall, Managing Director, Aeroplaza also participated in the press conference. Notably, Aeroplaza is the title sponsor of the Panchkula Golf League. The teams were also introduced to the media at the press conference and one owner-representative per team was present in ‘tournament attire’ at the curtain raiser event.

AS Dhillon (Retired), General Manager, PGC & Member- Secretary, Organising Committee, APGL said, “A lot of effort has gone into getting the golf course and infrastructure in place for the 3 weeks ahead. The members are excited and we have quality teams in place to execute it as well. Our members are in for a treat.”

 

Digraj Singh, Tournament Director, APGL said, “A unique scoring system has been devised under the guidance of the Organising Committee and additionally, we bring the learnings from the various leagues that we have conducted. The format requires all players to contribute and give their 100 per cent and this is the best form of competition and the true test of team strength and synergy.”

 

Digraj added, “During stage 1 of the league seven (7) days of round robin play will be held, which means each team plays every other in the group. Eight (8) matches are slated to be played each day. The Knockout stage starts with the quarter-finals which will be held on April 18. The quarters will be followed by the semi-finals on April 20, and the grand finale on April 23 at Panchkula Golf Club.”

 the teams in Group A are - Highland Kings, ADS Falcons, Golfing Panthers, Aces by Vintage Buildtech, Fantastic Fours, Clubs on Flames, Sneakin Golfers, and Victory Waves.

In Group B teams include Golfing Eagles, Par-Tee Crashers, Tee Titans, Green Warriors, Raging Bulls, Tee Birds, Shivalik Swingers and Hansa Legends.

 

अष्ठमी की शुभ बेला पर पुरुषोत्तम दास रुंगटा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट की शाखा श्री श्याम करुणा फाउंडेशन ने आयोजित किया अपना 159वां अन्न भंडारा

पंचकूला, 5 अप्रैल 2025: अष्ठमी के पावन अवसर पर श्री श्याम करुणा फाउंडेशन द्वारा 159वां ‘अन्न भंडारा’ श्रद्धापूर्वक आयोजित किया गया। यह आयोजन पंचकूला औद्योगिक क्षेत्र, फेज-1 में फाउंडेशन के संस्थापक एवं पंचकूला के प्रमुख समाजसेवी श्री अमिताभ रूंगटा के नेतृत्व में संपन्न हुआ।

 

इस अवसर पर अमिताभ रूंगटा ने अष्ठमी के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए कहा कि यह दिन देवी माँ के नौ स्वरूपों की आराधना का पर्व है। इस दिन भंडारा लगाने से एक ओर जहाँ जनकल्याण होता है, वहीं घर में सुख-समृद्धि भी आती है। इसका धार्मिक ही नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक महत्व भी अत्यंत गहरा है। इससे लोग अधिक से अधिक अन्न भंडारे आयोजित करने के लिए प्रेरित होते हैं और दूसरों को भी ऐसी सेवा के लिए प्रोत्साहन मिलता है।

 

भंडारे के दौरान फाउंडेशन के सदस्य अनुपमा रुंगटा, चैतन्य रुंगटा, सुशांत सिंह, मनोज सिंह और सुरेश जांगड़ा ने सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई और आयोजन को सफल बनाने में योगदान दिया।
