Bayer CropScience Limited sustained growth in Indian domestic market

Chandigarh, May 25, 2017:  Bayer CropScience Limited (BSE: 506285) announced its audited results for the financial year (FY) ending March 31, 2017. The Company registered Revenue from Operations of Rs.  29,484 million for FY 2016-17, marking an increase of 2% from Rs.  28,894  million in the previous year. The Company reported Profit for the year of Rs. 2,910 million. The financial statements are prepared in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). “2016-17 has been a mixed year for Bayer CropScience Limited in terms of business performance. Our domestic sales grew 8% over last year, due to good growth in our herbicides and fungicides portfolio. But, our exports turnover was adversely affected due to reduced global demand. IFFCO and Bank of Baroda launches co-branded debit card for farmers

The newly launched cards were distributed to 51 farmers in a card distribution ceremony today& further to 2 lakh farmers. IFFCO, the world’s largest fertiliser cooperative, in collaboration with Bank of Baroda launched its co-branded debit cardfor farmers at a card distribution ceremony organized at their corporate office in New Delhi. IFFCO and Bank of Baroda had signed an MoU in February, 2017 to create co-branded debit cards for farmers. This is aimedat enabling them to buy agri-inputs through a convenient cashless transaction mechanism, thus providing further thrust to PM Narendra Modi’s Digital India programme. The IFFCO-BOB co-branded debit cards were distributed to 51 farmers from Meerut district by Mr. R.P Singh, Director (HR &Legal), IFFCO and Mr. P.S.
